Donate to a ‘Pop-Up’ shop for good in Boise

All those items cluttering your closets may be someone else’s treasures. Help Interfaith Sanctuary set up a special pop-up shop for folks in need.

Interfaith Sanctuary will host its first-ever “Pop-Up” thrift shop to provide free cold weather clothes for the homeless residents of Boise on Oct. 27.

The Pop-Up will work like an outdoor clothing “store” with clothes donated by our community displayed in a fun and fashionable way, but with no money exchanged. Guests from Interfaith Sanctuary, Corpus Christi and other shelters will be able to fill a shopping bag with sweaters, pants, new socks, winter hats, backpacks, hand bags, scarves, winter coats and more.

Organizers are looking for donations, in particular hats, socks, undergarments, layering pieces, outerwear, shoes, belts and accessories (handbags or backpacks).

Bring donated items to the Interfaith Sanctuary administrative offices (Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) at 3350 Americana Terrace, suite 320, in Boise by Friday, Oct. 21. Tax receipts will be available for donors.
