Veterans, others celebrate service

Patriotism and gratitude dominated the day as veterans and others celebrated Veterans Day at Boise State University's Stueckle Sky Center.

Boise State alumnus Mischa Brady, who served two tours in Iraq with the United States Marine Corps, was the keynote speaker. Brady was injured by a roadside bomb and suffered a brain injury while in Iraq, but later graduated from Boise State with a degree in history.

Sponsored by Boise State Veteran Services, ROTC, the Idaho Army National Guard and the Veterans Administration,Wednesday’s event was one of many throughout the Treasure Valley and beyond celebrating the service of military members past and present.
