As families hugged, cried and laughed all around, Sgt. George Hinman waited patiently for his wife and three children to arrive from Nampa. The plane loaded with 121 Idaho Guard members landed at Gowen Field an hour ahead of schedule, meaning that some of the invited families missed the arrival.
“I don’t care, we are here,” Hinman said. “We are early. My wife is going to be mad at me if I’m not here.”
