Staff Sgt. Brad Attebery of Weiser isn't worried about adjusting back to civilian life.

"I don't think I am going to have any problems," he said. "I didn't have that many bad experiences."

He is looking forward to a day of duck hunting and watching football after he returns home with his family.

"It's going to be good to see football instead of soccer," he said, referring to the favorite sport in Iraq.

He said he has no regrets about the long deployment, and he hopes the children of Kirkuk will benefit from his efforts there.

"If I made it safe for them to go out and play, then it was worth it to me," he said.
