The Buck Fire, burning eight miles northeast of Deadwood Reservoir, is now 25 percent contained, held to just over 1,200 acres. The fire started Sunday and is believed to be human-caused.

On Thursday, almost 330 firefighters, including 11 crews and nine engines, will continue to build line around the fire using a full suppression strategy to contain it as quickly as possible. Eight helicopters are also conducting water drops.

People driving in the area should slow down, expect increased fire traffic and drive with caution, especially near Bruce Meadows where the team is operating on both sides of the road.
