Middleton and Mountain Home schools’ levies pass easily

Middleton voters approved a two-year, $1.31 million per year supplemental levy to augment the school district's state funding.

The levy, which renews an existing supplemental levy and will keep taxes at current levels, drew 71.45 percent support, far more than the simple majority needed to pass. Voter turnout was 9.85 percent.

The Middleton levy was the only issue on the ballot for Tuesday's election in Canyon County.

Mountain Home voters also approved a levy, with the unofficial results showing 73 percent voted for the passage of the levy, according to the school district’s website. Money will be used for building improvements.
