College of Western Idaho buys land near Nampa campus

The College of Western Idaho is preparing to buy 32.5 acres of land north of its Nampa campus for $815,000. The school expects to close the sale in the next two weeks.

“As we continue to develop our campus and serve more students, the land provides flexibility for future growth and connection with the north on Cherry Lane,” said Trustee Stan Bastian.

CWI does not have any immediate plans for development of the property. But one possibility could be to add a north entrance onto the Nampa campus.

CWI is also looking to purchase 10 acres for a Boise campus at the old Bob Rice Ford dealership at 3150 Main Street.
