Renaissance High School named state’s best by U.S. News

Renaissance High School in West Ada School District is Idaho’s top high school based on a 2015 ranking by U.S. News and World Report.

Rankings are base largely on state test scores and scores from schools’ Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate program, a rigorous internationally based curriculum.

Renaissance provides the International Baccalaureate program.

Nationally Renaissance ranked number 672.

The six-year-old school, with 729 students, draws students from across the district seeking a rigorous curriculum.

Among Treasure Valley high schools, Timberline High School in Boise was rated No. 2 in Idaho on U.S. News’ list, followed by McCall-Donnelly High School in McCall; Capital High School in Boise was number six and Vallivue High School was number eight.
