The College of Western Idaho and IDeal Idaho 529 College Savings Plan are partnering on a scholarship that will give qualifying students a break on their education costs.
CWI will match funds up to $500 a semester and $1,500 a year for students who make tuition and fee payments to the school from an Ideal 529 College Savings Account. Students must apply for federal financial aid and meet financial and enrollment guidelines.
The program, called CWIdeal Boost, has $70,000 available for the upcoming school year.
“By providing these matching funds, we hope to inspire students to plan and save for college. If you’re willing to invest in yourself, we’ll invest in you, too,” said Kevin Jensen, CWI dean of enrollment and student services.
