A Kuna School District bus driver is on unpaid leave after being accused of slapping a student when a fight broke out among three elementary students.
But an investigation led by the Ada County Sheriff’s Office concluded the driver’s intervention in the fight was only verbal, and at a meeting Friday authorities will decide whether to take the driver back off leave, district spokesman David Reinhart said.
“We’re confident that there was no contact,” Reinhart said.
Reportedly, three Crimson Point students between the ages of 9 and 11 broke into a fight on a school bus Thursday morning.

Deputies interviewed eight students who were on the bus, the bus driver and the dean of students.
Reinhart noted the fight was “significant” and that students used profanity against the driver.
The school district has not released the names of any involved.
