A 30-year-old Nampa man was arrested Monday night, accused of stabbing another man.
Gabriel E. Zarate, 30, of Nampa was charged with felony aggravated battery, according to Canyon County jail records.
Nampa police say they responded at about 6:30 p.m. to a report of an altercation on the 100 block of Blaine Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a 36-year-old Nampa man had been stabbed. He was transported to the hospital, treated for his injuries and then released.
Zarate, suspected in the stabbing, had reportedly run off, police say. Later that night, he showed up at a hospital to treat wounds he sustained during the altercation. Investigators arrested him after he was treated, according to a news release Tuesday morning.
