Jeffrey Davis and Nathan Gamble were booked into the Ada County Jail on meth trafficking charges. Davis is accused of trying to sell a pound of methamphetamine to detectives, and Gamble of showing up to collect the money, the Ada County Sheriff's Office reports.
Davis, 44, was arrested in a parking lot in the Maple Grove/Overland roads neighborhood just before 6 p.m. Wednesday, shortly after he showed up for a pre-arranged sale, according to an ACSO news release Thursday. Detectives found 589 grams of meth inside Davis’ car, along with a loaded semi-automatic pistol and $1,200 in cash, the sheriff's office reports.
Gamble, 39, was arrested several hours later in a parking lot near Emerald Street and Cole Road intersection — at a place where he allegedly was supposed to meet Davis and pick up the money, ACSO reports. Detectives found an additional 48 grams of meth and $1,200 inside Gamble’s car.
