A female victim reported that she awoke early Sunday morning to a man sexually assaulting her in her bed at a home on Manitou Avenue near the Boise State University campus.

Police released a sketch of the suspect Wednesday. The sketch shows a man's face with a black stripe over his eyes. The stripe is there because the victim said the man who assaulted her covered his eyes when she woke up, so she couldn't describe them accurately, Boise Police Department spokeswoman Haley Williams said.

The man is described as a white male with dark hair, about 40-45 years old and standing between five-foot-eight and five-foot-ten. He is also described as having pockmarks or acne scars on his face, with ears that protrude from the side of his head. He was wearing dark clothing.

Anyone with any information about the man or the assault is asked to notify Boise Police by calling non-emergency dispatch at (208) 377-6790 or Crime Stoppers at (208) 343-COPS. People with information can also leave an online tip at 343cops.com or on the free mobil app, P3, which is available on iTunes and the Google Play store.

People who leave information can remain anonymous and can earn a reward of up to $1,000 if the tip leads to a felony arrest.
