The woman told police a stranger approached her on the path north of the Boise River and west of the Americana Bridge. She said the man pushed her to the ground and sexually assaulted her, but she fought with him and was able to run away. The man was last seen running west, police said in a news release Wednesday.
The report was called in at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23.
The woman described her attacker as dark-skinned, possibly Native American or Hispanic. He reportedly had long hair, a patchy beard and an average build. He a dark blue and green plaid shirt, dark pants and a beanie-style stocking cap.
