A man stabbed near Interfaith Sanctuary Saturday remained hospitalized Monday, police said, and the man accused of stabbing him is set for a preliminary hearing Feb. 12.
Jason E. Coapland, 45, with no permanent address, was arraigned on a felony charge of aggravated battery Monday and was assigned a public defender.
Witnesses told police two men got into a physical fight near the homeless shelter about 6 p.m. Saturday that ended with one suffering life-threatening injuries.
A Boise police spokesman said no further information about the stabbing was available Monday evening. The injured man's name has not been released.

Coapland remained in the Ada County Jail Monday. Online court records for Coapland show dozens of nonviolent misdemeanor convictions, including public intoxication, open container and trespassing, between 2001 and 2012.
