A Wilder man escaped from Canyon County jail Saturday night, only to be recaptured early Sunday morning, according to a Canyon County press release.
Jesus Cuevas, 26, of Wilder, reportedly scaled the barbed-wire fence of the Canyon County Detention Center during outdoor recreation time around 9:30 p.m. and fled on foot, according to the release.
Canyon County deputies worked with Caldwell Police Department and located Cuevas around 2:20 a.m. Sunday at a residence near the 100 block of Parkhurst Drive. He was taken into custody without incident and is now facing additional escape charges, according to the release.
He was originally facing multiple grand theft charges and a driving violation, according to the release.
