A Boise man turned himself in to Boise police Tuesday night in connection with a hit-and-run crash on the Interstate 184 Connector Monday, police said.
Matthew Hyde, 46, of Boise was arrested on charges of failing to stop upon striking fixtures on a highway, leaving the scene of an accident and inattentive driving, police report.
The accident was reported Monday around 11:10 p.m. on the Connector near West Front and South 13th streets. A red passenger car was struck by a white or silver SUV with Ada County license plates. The red car spun and hit the center barrier, but the occupant of the vehicle was not injured, police said.
The driver of the SUV didn’t stop, but witnesses described the man to police, according to BPD.

Hyde told police he was the driver of the SUV after seeing media coverage of the incident, police said.
