No one was injured after shots were fired Sunday evening into two homes three miles apart, Caldwell police reported Monday.
The first incident took place at about 9:35 p.m. in the 500 block of East Linden Avenue.
Less than an hour later, at 10:20 p.m., shots were fired into a home in the 300 block of South Homedale Avenue.
Both homes were occupied, but no one was struck by gunfire, police said. Police believe that both incidents are gang-related.
KIVI-Channel 6 got a look inside one of the houses riddled with bullets. A baby was sleeping near living room windows where at least eight bullets entered, Lauren Johnson reported. One of the bullets went through the front door of a refrigerator.

The incidents are still under investigation but initial findings indicate the same person or group fired shots at both houses, police said.
Officers have identified several persons of interest and have interviewed witnesses, but no arrests have been made yet, police said.
