Billy D. Woodie, 62, was booked in the Ada County Jail on two felony charges of malicious harassment. But those charges were reduced to a single count of misdemeanor disturbing the peace at his arraignment.
Boise police said Monday they arrested Woodie Sunday evening “after officers found evidence Woodie had made threatening statements to a neighbor with the specific intent to intimidate or harass the victim because of the victim’s national origin.” Police did not disclose what that national origin is.
Officers responded to a call from the victim, who reported Woodie was yelling threatening statements outside of their home, police said in a news release. Officers quickly found Woodie a short distance away and arrested him, police said.
Investigators also found evidence the suspect left a threatening note for the same victim last week, police said.
