Police arrest a Boise man after one person injured in shooting in Boise’s North End

One person was injured and sent to the hospital after a shooting in a North End backyard Saturday night, according to Boise Police Department.

Police arrested Christopher Lynn Wirfs, 35, Boise, after the incident and charged him with two felony counts of aggravated battery and possession of a firearm.

Officers responded to the scene after a report of shots fired near the 700 block of West Resseguie Street came in around 7 p.m.

The suspect in the shooting and the victim, a woman, apparently know each other, according to BPD.

Following the incident police temporarily shut down Resseguie Street between 8th and 7th Streets, police said.

The woman injured in the incident has serious injuries, but they do not appear to be life-threatening, police said.
