Nampa police investigating a suspicious vehicle call at the Franklin Road WalMart Wednesday arrested two men identified in an investigation of counterfeit checks, police said in a news release.
Items associated with check counterfeiting were located in the men's vehicle, police said.
Jeffery L Epperson, 44, was booked into the Canyon County jail on charges of grand theft, forgery and misappropriation of personal identifying information.
Jacob M. Fergusson, 29, was jailed on charges of forgery, misappropriation of personal identifying information and drug possession.

In the same news release, police reported two other arrests in connection with the check investigation. On Tuesday, Daniel M. Patterson was allegedly found in possession of counterfeit checks connected to a residence on North Grand Pine Way. On Wednesday, police executed a search warrant at that residence, found evidence connected to the check operation and arrested Jose Trujillo, 23, police said.
Patterson faces charges of theft by deception, drug possession and possession of paraphernalia.Trujillo was arrested on grand theft, drug and gun charges.
