Police: Vandals break windows at school, dentist’s office in Eagle

Eagle police are looking for whoever propelled golf balls through windows at a dentist's office and a school building last week.

The vandalism occurred sometime between Tuesday night, Sept. 1, and 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, police report.

Three windows were smashed on portable buildings at Eagle Hills Elementary School, 650 E. Ranch St. Two windows were smashed at a dental office in the 100 block of Stierman Way. Golf balls were found inside or near both buildings, police said.

The cost to fix the damage and replace the windows was several hundred dollars for each building.

Such vandalism could net a charge of misdemeanor malicious injury to property — a crime punishable by up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
