ISP: Boise man led officers on high-speed chase from Canyon County into Oregon

Spencer Cox of Boise was arrested Friday afternoon in Oregon he reportedly led Idaho State Police and other agencies in a chase that began west of Caldwell on Interstate 84 and reached speeds of 120 mph.

ISP pulled a Mazda Protege over near milepost 22 and identified Cox, who had an active felony warrant out of Ada County, as the driver, the agency reported in a news release. As backup officers arrived on scene to assist with the arrest, Cox fled, ISP reports.

Idaho State Police discontinued the pursuit at the Oregon border, and Oregon State Police and the Ontario Police Department began to search for the suspect's car.

Oregon State Police located and confronted Cox, which resulted in a short foot pursuit, ISP reports. Cox was arrested by Oregon State Police, and Idaho charges against him are pending.
