Two women from Las Vegas were booked into the Ada County Jail early Monday on felony robbery charges, after a Boise cab driver told police they stole her cash.
Police identified the two suspects as Kimberly Mae Garrison, 27, and Ashton E. Pittman, 29.
At 2:28 a.m., police responded to the area of South 13th and West River streets for a report of a robbery.
A taxi cab driver told police that two women who had been in her cab had robbed her of cash. The driver gave officers a description of the suspects, who were located a short distance away.
Police said the investigating officers found evidence connecting the women to the robbery, but they didn’t say what. They did not disclose how much cash was taken.
Both women were arraigned Monday and had Sept. 14 preliminary hearings scheduled. At the hearings, a judge will decide if the case should proceed to district court and a full trial.
As of Tuesday, they were both free after each posting $25,000 bond, according to online court records.
