Boise man accused of leading police on foot chase after crashing into two parked cars

A Boise man was arrested after reportedly crashing into two parked cars and leading police on a short foot pursuit Sunday, according to the Boise Police Department.

Bryon Parsonage, 49, of Boise, was reportedly driving recklessly in the parking lot of a shopping center on the 8300 block of West Overland Road at about 8:30 p.m. Witnesses told police Parsonage had been driving recklessly on Interstate 84 and that he entered the parking lot, drove on the curb and struck two unoccupied parked cars before driving away.

Police initially saw the car speeding north on Maple Grove Road. Later police saw the car in a field with Parsonage standing outside at West Fairview Avenue and North Kimball Street. Parsonage reportedly attempted to run away, but was caught and arrested, BPD said.

He was treated for minor injuries and charged with DUI, leaving the scene of an accident and resisting or obstructing officers.
