200-pound bronze elephant stolen from a home in Eagle

The statue is part of a pair that have sat out front of a home on Fordham Drive in Eagle for nine years, Eagle police said in a post to Facebook on Monday.

According to police, the owners of the home found the elephant missing on the morning of July 26.

Police say its weight and size — about 40 inches long and 29 inches tall — mean at least two people would be needed in order to carry it.
