Boise police investigate circumstances behind man’s leg injury

Officers with the Boise Police Department were called Wednesday afternoon to respond to a man with an injury to his leg at a shelter in the 400 block of South 13th Street at West River Street.

So far, police have been unable to learn how the man was injured. They were told the injury did not occur at the shelter, but the injured man has not provided clear details on what happened.

Police were called to the shelter at 1:35 p.m. Paramedics from Ada County EMS arrived to treat the man and were still at the scene shortly after 2 p.m. The injury does not appear to be life-threatening, police said in a written release.

Police said there is no evidence of an ongoing public safety threat.
