UPDATE: Crash at Linder and Amity injures driver, disrupts traffic and damages power pole

The West Ada County intersection of Linder and Amity was blocked through much of Thursday afternoon after a crash damaged a power pole.

No power outage was reported as the result of the 1:47 p.m. crash, which tilted the pole. Traffic through the intersection was delayed for several hours while deputies investigated and Idaho Power crews worked to repair the damage.

A westbound pickup truck reportedly ran a stop sign on Amity Avenue, colliding with a car that was headed south on Linder Road, the Ada County Sheriff’s Office reports. The truck then hit a power pole.

The driver of the car was transported to a local hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening, ACSO reports.

At 3:20 p.m. the sheriff’s office tweeted that traffic would likely be delayed for the next few hours while Idaho Power crews worked to repair the pole.
