A 35-year-old man connected to last week’s brief disappearance of a 14-year-old Wilder girl has now been charged with lewd conduct with a child younger than age 16.

Hector Flores Arias is also suspected of distributing drugs to a minor, and faces an enhancement for allegedly being a persistent violator. He appeared in court Wednesday and his bond was set at $500,000.

Arias was arrested Oct. 2. He was the focus of a public search after Wilder Police received a missing person’s report on the teen, and believed she may have left school with Arias. The girl was located safely and Arias later turned himself in.

On Wednesday, Wilder Police said they believed there may be other victims, and asked the public to report any information they may have about Arias.

Arias remains in jail. His next court appearance is set for Oct. 19.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Wilder Police Department via the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office at 208-454-7531.
