Timothy Wagner, 22, was arrested on suspicion of felony third-degree arson and misdemeanor malicious injury to property Wednesday after police say he started a grass fire around 1 a.m. near the intersection of Fairview Avenue and 24th Street.
The fire was quickly extinguished by the Boise Fire Department, but witness statements indicated that the man had intentionally set the fire, according to Boise police.
During the course of the investigation, officers also located evidence that indicated Wagner had spray-painted an electrical box at the intersection of 13th and Myrtle streets earlier in the night.
Wagner was booked into the Ada County Jail.
