Law enforcement reported that a 15-year-old girl was shot in the leg late Sunday near Ten Mile and Black Cat roads.
The girl was walking on Ustick Road around midnight when she was hit by a bullet after a car drove by. Detectives are working to determine if the account is accurate because the girl did not call 911 to report the shooting, according to the Ada County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies learned of the shooting just after midnight on Monday when a third party reported the girl was being treated for a bullet wound at a local emergency room. Her injury is not life-threatening and she was treated and released from the hospital.
Detectives continue to investigate leads and no arrests had been made, as of 3 p.m. Monday.
