Transportation Security Administration officers detained Bo W. Schmelling, 36, after finding a plastic baggie containing a suspicious white powder during a routine screening of passengers on Thursday afternoon.
The TSA officers notified airport officers with the Boise Police Department at 3:20 p.m. and they took over the case.
Officers conducted a field test on the powder and it came back as presumptive positive for cocaine.
Schmelling was arrested and taken to the Ada County Jail. He was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.
