Caldwell police seek information about Monday drive-by shooting

Two young men, ages 20 and 18, told police they were in a car near Luby Park when occupants of another vehicle shot at them about 8:50 p.m. Monday, Caldwell police said in a news release.

Bullets hit the car, but not the men inside, police said. The incident happened on North Illinois Avenue near Marble Front Road.

The assailants are described as two Hispanic men in their mid-20s, one tall and thin and the other stocky. Both wore jeans and black clothing, police said. At least one of them had a handgun, police said.

The suspects drove away from the city northbound on Illinois in a vehicle is described as a light-colored passenger car of unknown make and model, police said.

Investigators believe the suspects and victims may know each other.
