Corey J. West, 25, faces a felony charge of lewd conduct with a child under age 16 after he was arrested for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl Saturday night, according to online court records.
West was arrested on suspicion of rape Sunday morning after an overnight investigation, the Ada County Sheriff’s Office reported Monday.
A girl reported that she was sexually assaulted in a bathroom of a home on the 2300 block of South Locust Grove Road around 11 p.m. Saturday. The suspect was identified as West, according to a sheriff’s news release.
Deputies began investigating that night, interviewing several people and looking for West. Around 8 a.m., they found him near Kuna on Locust Grove Road, the sheriff’s office states.

Investigators interviewed West and booked him into the Ada County Jail on a rape charge. By time he was arraigned Monday, the charge was felony lewd conduct. Bond was set at $200,000, and West’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 21.
