Payette man accused of counterfeiting currency out of a truck

Garden City Police Department officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on the 9600 block of Chinden Boulevard Wednesday morning and found a Payette man with a counterfeiting apparatus in a Ford F150, according to a GCPD press release.

Wendell Roy Musser, 32, had been parked on Chinden for a couple hours, according to witness accounts, and was seen printing counterfeit money by a witness. When police approached Musser they found the F150 was reported stolen out of Ontario, Oregon. They also found the counterfeiting printer and counterfeit currency, according to the release.

Musser is facing three felony charges: grand theft by possession, possession of counterfeiting apparatus and counterfeiting. He’s also facing three misdemeanor charges: resisting and obstructing, providing false information to law enforcement and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Musser is scheduled for an arraignment Wednesday afternoon.
