Vicente Sarceda Prieto, 31, wanted for attempted strangulation and domestic battery in the presence of a child, was arrested Monday morning in Burley.
Prieto had been listed since late August on a website of wanted suspects maintained by CrimeStoppers of Southwest Idaho. The nonprofit group offers rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
Earlier this year, Prieto faced another misdemeanor domestic violence charge for an incident that took place in March. The charge was later dismissed by Canyon County Magistrate Deborah Orr.
Prieto failed to show up Aug. 29 for a parole violation hearing stemming from two 2014 cases. He was convicted of aggravated assault and eluding a police officer in those cases. He had served a prison rider program and was placed on 15 years supervised probation in October 2015. The alleged probation violation occurred in March.
