Boise man accused of firing gun into air after domestic dispute

No injuries were reported, but a Boise man faces charges of aggravated assault, negligent discharge of a firearm within city limits and felon in possession of a firearm, Boise police report.

Boise police responded to a call of shots fired on the 1700 block of Barlow Lane, near Overland Road, about 4 p.m.. Arriving officers found and detained Cleveland Littlejohn, 40, in the street near his residence, police said late Wednesday.

A witness told officers Littlejohn fired five to seven shots from a handgun into the air after a domestic dispute. Shell casings were found at the scene, and officers canvassed the neighborhood to make sure no residents had been harmed.

Barlow was briefly blocked off during the investigation.
