Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash, Meridian Police Deputy Chief Tracy Basterrechea said Tuesday morning. More investigation is needed to determine if speed was a factor, he said.
The group were riding in 2007 Toyota Scion. The Caldwell teens were driving through Meridian on their way home from Boise.
