An Eagle man was charged with possession of marijuana after Ada County Sheriff’s deputies reported discovering 11 plants and 2 pounds of marijuana in his home near Eagle Island Park, according to a ACSO press release.
Ryan Loy Thomas, 33, was arrested on multiple charges after deputies searched his home on the 600 block of Dolson Lane to investigate hazardous living conditions, according to ACSO.
Deputies came to his home the evening of Aug. 4 and could smell a “strong odor of marijuana,” so they got a search warrant, since Thomas refused them entry, ACSO said.
Deputies ultimately found the 11 plants in a closet and more than two pounds of marijuana. Thomas was also charged with manufacturing a controlled substance in the presence of a child since a 5-year-old lived in the home and the closet was unlocked.
