Average annual rates in Eagle are $793, which is 6 percent below the state average, according to a report conducted by Value Penguin. The state average is $847. Boise is in the top five most affordable car insurance cities in the state with an average annual rate of $806, 5 percent below the state average.
The most expensive Idaho city to get car insurance is actually a tie between Orofino and Grangeville which both have annual rates 4 percent higher than the state average at $883, according to the report.
