Just after noon on Monday, paramedics were dispatched to a report of someone with a traumatic injury in Star.
A woman was thrown from a horse on a trail in the general area of Can-Ada and Deep Canyon roads, according to sheriff’s and dispatch officials.
At 1 p.m., paramedics were at the scene but had not transported the woman, sheriff’s spokesman Patrick Orr said. He said the woman was riding with a group, and one of them called 911 for help.
