Want to ‘Eat Mor Chikin’? Chick-fil-A fanatics in Meridian now have another place to go

‘Chikin’ lovers in the Treasure Valley, rejoice: Meridian is opening its second Chick-fil-A.

Located at 567 S. Innovation Lane at the northeast corner of Ten Mile Road and Vanguard Way, the new restaurant is easily accessible off of Interstate 84. It’s the latest in the popular chicken chain’s growing footprint in the region, which includes a restaurant at The Village in Meridian.

The Georgia-based franchise is known for popularizing the chicken sandwich and enjoys a raving fan base. Now fans can enjoy the new restaurant, which opened Wednesday, with a double drive-thru for those wary of lines.

Based in College Park, Georgia, Chick-fil-A is the nation’s biggest chain specializing in chicken sandwiches. The restaurant’s slogan invites customers to “Eat Mor Chikin.”

According to a news release, the Ten Mile restaurant will operate for dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, and delivery from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Like the chain’s other locations, the new Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays to allow employees to “rest or worship if they choose,” the restaurant’s website says.

The company also announced that it has donated $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant, and said these funds will go towards Boise-area organizations combating hunger. A spokesperson with Chick-fil-A did not immediately respond to a request for comment on which organizations would receive those funds.

The Ten Mile store will join the Village location, three Boise locations, and one in Nampa as the sixth Chick-fil-A in the Boise area. Another dine-in Chick-fil-A is planned at the Boise Spectrum, the Idaho Statesman previously reported.
