A 61-year-old Eagle man died late Friday night of injuries he suffered when his pickup truck rolled.
The Ada County Sheriff’s Office said Monday that Rusty Schwinn’s blood alcohol level was .20 — more than twice the legal limit — when he lost control of his pickup truck along Swan Falls Road, near King Road.
The crash happened at 8:14 p.m. Friday, the coroner’s office said. Schwinn was headed south on Swan Falls at a high rate of speed when he lost control. He went off the road and the pickup rolled, coming to rest on its side, the sheriff’s office said. Schwinn was ejected.
Schwinn was the only person in the pickup. Paramedics took him to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
