Fire crews were sent to an incident at this building, in a commercial plaza along the 3500 block of East Overland Road, late on the morning of June 5, 2017.

Dispatchers were called just after 11 a.m. Monday about a fire in a building along Overland Road, just east of Eagle Road.

The building is part of the Silverstone commercial plaza in the 3500 block of East Overland. The fire apparently started in Evergreen Home Loans. Smoke spread to a Liberty Mutual Insurance office, and the staff of a nearby Meridian Library branch said it would be closed for about an hour.

Firefighters believe the cause was electrical, but an investigator was on scene to determine the cause, said Meridian Fire Battalion Chief Rod Shaul.
