A gas line in Star has reportedly been accidentally severed by construction work, according to police scanner traffic and Intermountain Gas officials.
The line is said to be in the area of Munger Road between Floating Feather and New Hope roads, according to scanner traffic.
Around 12:30 p.m., Intermountain Gas spokeswoman Cheryl Imlach confirmed that a line had been broken in Star.
It wasn’t immediately clear what type of construction work the crew was doing. Imlach said the breakage hadn’t interrupted service for any Intermountain customers.

She said proper procedure was followed when the line was broken, and she encouraged anyone doing construction projects to call 811 prior to digging to be aware of any gas lines that may be in the area.
