The College of Idaho will host a Relay For Life event April 25-26 at the J.A. Albertson Activities Center on the College of Idaho campus in Caldwell.
Beginning at 7 p.m. on April 25 and ending at 3 a.m. on April 26, teams will participate in games and take turns running or walking laps around the track in the gym to raise money for cancer prevention.
The event will include food, music, prizes and fun in the gym. Participants will take turns running/walking laps, while the rest of the team members enjoy the festivities, cheer their teammates and wait for their turn to run. The night also includes a Survivor’s Lap, in which those who have healed from cancer take a lap, and a luminaria ceremony in remembrance of loved ones with cancer.
Ten teams have signed up to participate. Donations already have reached more than $600.
