The Board of Ada County Commissioners invites the public to join them for the Second Annual Fishin’ with the Commission on Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Settlers Pond in Meridian.
Ada County and Idaho Fish and Game have teamed up to provide this fun and educational opportunity for the whole family. The event offers citizens a chance to come out and fish free for a day, with all fishing gear and expert assistance provided through Fish and Game’s “Take Me Fishing” trailer. Those who register on-site will not need a fishing license to participate.
“Last year we had around 100 people attend the first Fishin’ with the Commission event,” said Ada County Commission Chairman Dave Case in a press release. “It really turned out to be a fantastic event – some of the parents with small children said it was the first time their kids had caught a fish, so that really puts a smile on your face.”
