Jeffrey James Hiscox, 19, of Boise, died of blunt force trauma caused by a car accident, according to the Ada County Coroner. The crash happened on Greenhurst Road near Locust Lane around 9 p.m. Thursday, according to Idaho State Police.
Hiscox was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise where he was pronounced dead at 10 p.m.
According to ISP, Orion Blumenfeld, 47, of Nampa was driving a 2000 Jeep Wrangler west on Greenhurst Road when he struck a 2006 Pontiac G6 driving east and attempting to turn north on Locust Lane. The Pontiac was pushed into a 2010 Hyundai Sonata driven by Cecil Lewellyn, 84, also of Nampa. Hiscox was a passenger in the Pontiac. Another passenger was also taken to the hospital, according to ISP. No one else in the vehicle was injured, police said.
Greenhurst Road and Locust Lane were blocked for more than three hours as crews cleared the scene. ISP is still investigating the crash.
