A Nampa 16-year-old considered an endangered runaway was found safe Wednesday and the 21year-old man she was with was arrested for harboring a runaway, Nampa police Sgt. Tim Riha said.
Rebecca Medina and Gonzalo “Guy” Olmeda reportedly were hiding in the basement of a home in the 100 block of Davis Avenue in Nampa, Riha said. Olmeda was arrested on the harboring charge and a felony probation violation warrant. He is being held in the Canyon County jail.
Medina has been listed as a runaway since May, but police sought the public’s help Tuesday, saying she was considered endangered and might be prevented from contacting her family. Tips from neighbors led to the Davis house Wednesday.
