A Nampa child was taken to a local hospital Tuesday night after he reportedly wandered into a decorative pond at a home in the 100 block of State Street, Nampa police Sgt. Joe Ramirez said.
Police were called to the scene about 8:50 p.m. The little boy, about 4 years old, was rushed to a hospital, where he reportedly was breathing, Ramirez said about 10 p.m. The child's family was with him.
Nampa detectives remained at the scene late Tuesday. Ramirez said it was unclear whether the boy was breathing when he was removed from the pond or whether he needed to be revived. Information about his condition was not immediately available.
